Water and Sewer Rates
Updated Utility Rates Effective January 7, 2023
Dear Gretna Utility Customer, The February 2023 bills will reflect updated water and sewer utility rates adjusted per City Ordinance to follow the national Consumer Price Index (CPI) for these services. The minimum monthly bill for residential customers will show an increase of $0.95, reflecting a CPI increase of 3.5%. This will be the first rate increase in 3 years as the city suspended any increases due to the financial hardships caused by the COVID pandemic. As utility costs throughout the industry continue to rise, Gretna is committed to managing these costs and increasing efficiency while upgrading aging infrastructure. This will help ensure the long-term viability and safety of our systems while providing clean drinking water and reliable sewer treatment. We encourage you to practice sensible water conservation at your home or business. There are many websites with useful water saving tips, such as www.allianceforwaterefficiency.org. If you have questions about the rate changes, please contact City Hall at 504-363-1500, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM |
