German Village
Friday, October 6, 2023
5:00 PM

You are invited to join German-American Cultural Center President, Judge Barron Burmaster, along with Gretna Mayor Belinda Constant and City Officials for a ceremonial keg tapping to celebrate the official opening of the German Village at Gretna Fest.

The German Beer Garden, which is one of the highlights of Gretna Fest, will be serving German beer, wine, grilled bratwurst, sauerkraut, and fresh-baked pretzels (baked onsite!). Enjoy dining and drinking while listening to German music.

Originally founded as a German settlement in 1836, the City of Gretna is the home of Louisiana’s German-American Museum at 519 Huey P. Long Avenue.
