5:00 PM – 7:00 PM. Sample delicious king cakes from area bakeries and vote for your favorite at the Gretna Farmer’s Market.  Cost is $10 a person. Ticket presales begin February 3.

Bubbles on Parade

Friday, February 14 – Sunday, February 16

Fridays-Sundays 6 PM – 10 PM.  Bring your own picnic/drinks to enjoy under the purple, green and gold draped oaks from inside a personal bubble tent on the Huey P. Long median. Accommodates parties of up to 6 or 8 per tent, rental is $100-125 plus refundable damage deposit of $50. Call tourism office for times & availability-504.363.1580. Special rental available for the Krewe of Kuties parade on Saturday, February 15.

Saturday, February 15

2 PM. Bring the little ones to this children’s parade that circles Huey P. Long Avenue from 3rd to 8th and back up to 3rd on Huey P. Long Avenue. Bubbles on Parade will be available for rent during the parade from 12 p.m. – 4 p.m. Call the Tourism Department to reserve your spot, 504-363-1580.

A Toast to Mardi Gras in Gretna

Saturday, February 15

5 PM – 9 PM. Enjoy a champagne strut along Huey P. Long Ave., stopping at each participating restaurant/bar enjoying a $5 signature drink from an official Parade the Huey glass. (Starts at Rivershack Gretna and ends at Gattuso’s) Enter for your chance to be King/Queen of Gretna’s Mardi Gras! Preregistration begins February 3.

Lundi Gras Concert

Monday, March 3

6 PM. Come enjoy a free concert at the Farmer’s Market. Food and drinks will be available to purchase from vendors.
